In 2019 Manchester Histories will produce a programme of public events, learning, creative exploration and community projects led by the themes of protest, democracy and freedom of speech for people across Greater Manchester and beyond.

Peterloo, one of the most remarkable moments in Britain’s struggle for universal suffrage ultimately marking Manchester as a radical city like no other. A programme of new work and special events that explore and commemorate the Peterloo Massacre are being planned by Manchester Histories & People's History Museum in partnership with a wide range of cultural organisations and communities from across Greater Manchester. We'll be bringing to life the story, legacy and spirit of Peterloo, sharing facts and insights, as well as highlighting events and ways that you can get involved.

Look out for the new Peterloo website peterloo1819.co.uk launching soon.
