Petersfield: Calligraphy Workshop for Beginners

Join us for our completely beginner friendly calligraphy workshop at the Sage & Salt Studio in Petersfield.

There are lots of different ways of creating beautiful modern calligraphy, and sometimes knowing where to start can be tricky! This full-day taster workshop gives you the chance to try both pointed nib and brush pen using a range of types and colours so you can see which you enjoy the most and explore the various effects that can be achieved with each.

You will be creating letter-forms, using colour, metallics, and designing layouts. You will work on beautiful templates and create finished pieces that you can frame and keep for yourself or give as a charming personal gift. With these techniques in your repertoire, you'll soon be creating greeting cards, party invitations and artwork for your home and loved ones!

As well as guiding the whole class with demonstrations and instructions, your tutor will provide you with one-on-one tuition and troubleshoot any issues you may come across.

All the materials you need are provided so you can simply relax and enjoy this inspiring workshop. Please bring with you a packed lunch. We will provide light refreshments throughout the day.

Please note that our venue is not wheelchair accessible, and our toilets are located upstairs. The nearest parking facilities are at Castle Yard or Swan Street which are both only a 1 minute walk from Sage and Salt Studio.
