The University Graduate School is dedicated to supporting University of Birmingham’s postgraduate researcher (PGR) community. Fostering cross-college, interdisciplinary communities and acting as a gateway to support and advice. We work closely with the other University support services to ensure our postgraduate researchers have access to a high quality experience.

<h1>The <a href="https://intranet.birmingham.ac.uk/student/graduateschool/index.aspx" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">University Graduate School</a> supports postgraduates at the University of Birmingham. We offer a variety of academic, social and wellbeing activities throughout the year. This event is for postgraduate researchers (PGRs) - look out for our other events in our <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/pgr-events-2022-23-1275549" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PGR Collection</a>!</h1><h3>Come join the University Graduate School (UGS) and your <a href="https://intranet.birmingham.ac.uk/student/graduateschool/pgr/westmere/meet-your-ugs-scholars-pgr.aspx" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UGS Scholars</a> for a postgraduate researcher Easter celebration at Westmere House! </h3><h3>This social is family-friendly, with lots of activities to keep everyone busy including an egg hunt!! We&#x27;ll also have plenty of snacks and drinks throughout the afternoon. We&#x27;re hoping for some springtime sunshine so that we can enjoy Westmere&#x27;s beautiful gardens, but Westmere House has beautiful indoor space too. </h3><h3>Come by yourself to meet new people, or arrange a get together with your research network. We would especially like to extend a warm welcome to any PGRs with parental or caring responsibilities too. With schools on Easter break, we are sure you may be looking for ways to entertain your children, so why not bring them along to the University, show them the delightful campus, and – most importantly – enjoy some free chocolate!</h3><h3></h3><h3>Westmere is located next to Winterbourne House on Edgbaston Park Road (G15 on the <a href="https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/contact/directions/index.aspx" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">campus map</a>).</h3><p><strong>Please note: This is an alcohol free event.</strong></p><p><strong>This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate researchers (PGR)  and their families.</strong> </p><p>PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.</p><p>Registration will close 15 mins before the event start time or when tickets are sold out. We will be checking attendees against the Eventbrite registration and you may be refused entry if we have met capacity and you are not on the list.
