October Gallery was the first London gallery to exhibit innovative contemporary art from cultures around the world, a pioneer of transvangarde the trans-cultural avant garde.

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Phillip Nangle, a traditional Southern African musical maestro, artist and instrument builder, will be performing at the October Gallery on the 25th of March. </P>
</DIV>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">He will perform a selection of his musical arrangements and compositions for <I>mbira</I> together with a variety of percussion instruments. </P>
</DIV>

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">This unique concert will also include painted performances in which Phillip will draw the audience into his inner world of "musical notation” - a rhythmic/melodic form of action painting.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">Guests should arrive at 7.30 for an 8.00pm start.</P>
