Do I need any prior qualifications?

No, this package is open to all applicants. It will teach you right from the very beginning of phlebotomy in our Introduction to Phlebotomy course through to drawing live blood in the class during our Route to Competency session.

The medical practice of drawing blood from a vein.

Question 3

Will I be qualified to draw live blood after the package?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on consenting adults, as long as it is in line with your company's protocols and procedures. You will gain a Level 3 and Level 4 nationally recognised qualification, accredited by the Open College Network and CPD Certification Service. You will also be awarded a certificate of competency.

Can I take the package online?

Yes — the Virtual Classroom option includes a FREE Practise@Home Phlebotomy Training Kit (worth £79.95). You will need a device with a camera and a microphone to complete it via a Zoom session with a tutor. Please note, the Route to Competency session must be completed in person.

How long is the package?

There will be 6-8 hours worth of theory to complete online, in your own time,  for the Advanced Phlebotomy course. The rest of the training will take place over 1 or 2 consecutive days depending on the date/location you choose.

Question 6

Can I apply to work in the NHS after this package?

Accepted Answer

Yes - the NHS offer a Trainee Phlebotomist role (Pay Band 2) that would help you to gain further experience in the field.

Question 7

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — you can secure your place with a deposit and pay the balance in instalments. The full amount must be paid at least 5 working days before the course date. We also offer Klarna when booking online.

When will I receive my certificates?

Accepted Answer

Digital certificates are issued within 7–14 working days after the course on your learning platform. Printed copies are available for an additional fee.
