The event is an afternoon of interactive and educational engagement for children of all ages, but especially 7 years old and upwards.

The Institute of Physics is again hosting a family fun day of physics. The event is being held at King Edward VI Grammar School in Broomfield Rd in Chelmsford. PhysicsFest this year is part of the Do and Discover weekend, see https://cses.org.uk/events?task=civicrm/event/info&reset=1&id=385, which in turn is part of Chelmsford Festival, see https://chelmsfordfestival.co.uk.

The event is an afternoon of interactive and educational engagement for children of all ages, and is inspired entirely by experiments. The event is completely free and open to the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to try out lots of interesting and engaging activities, mostly hands-on, with 6th form physics students on hand to explain what is going on in each experiment.
