Pickleball

Jack Kane Community CentreEdinburgh, Edinburgh
Overview

This event is only open to unpaid carers living in or caring for someone in Edinburgh and Midlothian.

About the event: Pickleball is a fun, fast‑growing racket sport that’s easy to learn, low‑impact, and suitable for all fitness levels. It’s played on a small court with lightweight paddles and a perforated ball - like a mix between tennis, badminton, and table tennis.

Edinburgh Leisure’s Active People team will be on hand to:

  • Show you the simple rules
  • Help you try out the basic shots
  • Support you to play at your own pace
  • Make the session relaxed, sociable, and enjoyable

Most people find they can pick up the basics within minutes, making it a great way to get active without feeling intimidated.
