Planets and Pulsators

Mexborough Church HallMexborough, England
Thursday, August 6  •  7:30 PM - 10 PM
Overview

Mexborough & Swinton Astronomical Society

Delta Scuti Pulsators are young, mainstream stars that experience rapid, observable changes in brightness. Dr Ebo's lecture explores how astronomers detect and model planets that orbit these actively vibrating hosts. The discovery of planets around these pulsating stars provides a laboratory that offers the opportunity for the most precise studies of exoplanet systems.

Dr Simon Ebo is an astrophysicist and academic lecturer associated with the University of Central Lancashire.

This Hybrid event is also broadcast live from Mexborough Church Hall via Zoom
