Merseyway Workshop

S﻿pend your Sunday afternoon making a personalised plant pot!During this workshop we'll be using traditional slab building and coil techniques to create the forms, then using a range of experimental methods to create patterns and decorations.A﻿lso during this workshop you'll have the opportunity to add to our communal BIG coil pots, which will be fired and live in our terrace garden. Knowledge Required• Beginner - all levels welcome. This workshop is for ages 16+ only.Techniques You Will ExplorePinch pots - a delicate and intricate method to create a range of forms.Coiling - using this ancient method of building you will learn to make winding and circular form.Press Moulds - experiment with press moulds using surface patterns and designs.Materials Provided• Included in the course fee you will be allocated 5kg of terracotta, buff or crank clay. You will also have free access to our decorative slips and range of glazes! More clay can be purchased during the sessions.What to bring• Relaxed clothing that you don&#x27;t mind getting a little messy. Bring your own apron if you have one. Transport• We are within a short walk from Stockport train and bus station. Parking is available at the Merseyway Shopping Centre NCP.Refunds and Booking Terms• Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date.
