Description

Learn together how to respond to our healthcare needs in home and community with the power of plant medicine:

- Plant connection: cultivating and wildcrafting medicinal herbs that are abundant in our gardens and wild spaces; ethical harvesting; drying & storing guidelines; how do we grow enough herbs for medicine

- Plant ID & botany: meeting and recognising key common plant families whose members we use for medicines

- Medicine making: 2 common herbal preparations we can make seasonally from the land and garden

- Common ailments and herbal first aid: responding to seasonal illness and supporting community health with communally made medicines

Trainer - Rasheeqa

Rasheeqa is a trained medical herbalist with 6+ years experience based in her London community sharing knowledge of plant medicine, through a broad range of participatory activities from workshops and guided experiential herb walks to longer practical courses empowering & exciting groups and individuals with a strong foundation in herbal self-care, community healthcare approaches and ecosystem connection.
