Plastid Preview 2017

The Plastid Preview is an annual meeting for  PhD students and young researchers working in any area of chloroplast biology to meet and foster networks with other young and senior scientists.
The two-day conference is FREE TO ATTEND and is aimed specifically at attracting early career researchers to present their work. There are typically 40-65 attendees and the quality of the talks is extremely high. 
Topis include photosynthesis, algal biofuels, food security and biotechnology, as well as fundamental research on plastid biology and biochemistry.
This year's Plastid Preview will be held at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge on 4th-5th September:
Monday, 4th September: 2.00pm - 5.00pm followed by a Conference Dinner at Downing College
Tuesday, 5th September: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Bed and Breakfast accomodation at Downing College will be provided for the night of 4th September if required.
To register, please select either 'Ticket' or 'Ticket with accommodation'. Both types of ticket include dinner on Monday. 
 
Abstracts:  If you would like to present your research at the meeting, please sent a short (approx 100 word) abstract and Title to Dr Ellen Nisbet rern2@cam.ac.uk  by June 30, 2017. Talks and posters will be selected from those abstracts received. Please say if you would prefer a talk or a poster.

Are there any travel grants available?
Yes! We are supported by the Biochemical Society as an Independent meeting. Student members of the society can apply for travel grants, for up to £100.
