Play It Forward Pianothon

Play It Forward Pianothon

St Paul Old FordLondon, England
Saturday, Jan 31 from 10 am to 10 pm GMT
Overview

Join us for Play It Forward, a 12-hour charity pianothon celebrating music, community, and purpose.

Globe Community Project invites you to Play it Forward, a 12-hour Pianothon on 31st January 2026, at St Paul Old Ford Church in Bethnal Green.

From 10am to 10pm, talented performers will fill the space with continuous live piano music.

Throughout the day, pianists will take turns playing jazz, reggae, classical and more music - all for charity.

Drop in, listen, and enjoy the atmosphere, whether for ten minutes or the whole day.

Entry is free, so everyone in the community can take part. But your donations are vital to keep our wellbeing and community programmes free for those who need them most.

Enjoy locally made snacks and refreshments, meet your neighbours, and soak up the sounds.

We’ve got headline performances during the evening, featuring some professional performers and composers.

The Pianothon aims to raise £5,000 for Globe Community Project, supporting people in Tower Hamlets who are facing loneliness, stress, isolation, and displacement.

Why we’re Playing It forward

Play It Forward is more than a concert, it’s a call to care for our neighbours.

Your donation directly supports:

  • Refugee and migrant women rebuilding their confidence
  • Older neighbours facing isolation
  • People carrying stress, anxiety, chronic illness and sensory impairment

With your help, Globe Community Project can continue offering wellbeing support for isolated Over 60s, female refugees and their children,, and safe spaces where people can share, connect with others and heal.

Your generosity helps us keep these spaces free and accessible, so that anyone, whether an isolated older neighbour or a newly-arrived migrant woman, can find connection, confidence and community.

You can donate to our JustGiving page here.

Share our posts, invite friends and family, and help us fill the room – and our neighbourhood – with music, kindness and hope.
