Play with Paint

Join us to be creative, messy and experimental with paint. This monthly event is all about having fun and playing with paint. Let go of your inhibitions and splash colour on our walls. No creative ability is required, this is all about the process and enjoying the freedom of getting messy.

We held this event at the beginning of November 2024 and it was a huge success, some even described it as transformative. We had people of all ages enjoying the experience, from 1 year old babies through to grandparents. This event is a brilliant family experience but not exclusive to children so don't feel you need to bring a child to fit in!

How does it work?

We have a large wall opposite the largest canvas in the UK. The canvas is a project with Leeds Beckett Univercity and will be regularly updated by the students. The canvas and wall will act as inspiration for each other and a conversation between the students and community.

* Please note that adults need to book a ticket to accompany children. This is so we can make sure we can keep a track on numbers. Tickets are reasonably priced to allow for this.*

As well as the painting wall we have an area for painting on paper and canvas and jeans! Bring your own clothing to paint. Blank canvases will be on sale for a reasonable price.

We also have a colouring in table in the paint store.
