About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Get adventurous with us this month as we join Eithne, an engineer-turned-poet, who will invite you to explore links between science and poetry. We'll make models, run some simple science experiments and together look for synergies, reactions and sparks to help with our creative practice. As well as this, we will look towards the rich industrial heritage of Teesside for inspiration, looking at photos and footage and sharing our stories of how we interact with this industrial urban landscape.

Artist Bio: Eithne was born in Ireland and now lives in North Yorkshire. Her poems have been published in Dreich and online in Rattle, The Ekphrastic Review and One Art. Her work has been shortlisted in the Bridport Prize (Flash Fiction) and commended in competitions.
