Poetry Open Mic

Our renowned poetry open mic nights are an opportunity for creativity and self-expression!

Come on down to our relaxed and inclusive poetry and spoken word open mic night! Performances all night from local artists from all walks of life. First time performers welcome, this is a supportive and open space.

Both performers and audience members must sign up via Eventbrite. We regret that once sold out, we cannot fit in any extra performers so if you cannot attend please let us know so we can give someone else a chance to perform or watch - we must cap it at 15 readers a night, or the event will go on forever!! </3</p>

We run these events twice a month, though, so please keep an eye out for the next one!

*** Our tickets cost £5. This is just to ensure that those who sign up do attend, as we have had problems with no-shows despite being sold out each week. If this is out of your price range please let us know via email (booksandbeershop@icloud.com) and we will make adjustments accordingly.***

Performers: please arrive 15 mins before the start time (so by 18:45) so that we can determine the running order! Please let us know if you are going to be significantly later.

It goes without saying that Morocco Bound is a safe and inclusive space for all. We ask performers to take accountability for their own words and issue any neccessary trigger warnings/disclaimers before their performance.

Each performer has about a 5 min slot.
