Polldubh Explorer Walk
Step beyond the well-trodden paths and discover a lesser-seen side of Glen Nevis.
The walk starts from Lower Falls Car Park amd once across the bridge at Lower Falls, follows a climbers' path across the heather past a pair of giant boulders then up to traverse between the lower and middle tier of Polldubh crags. It's a great opportunity to see and learn about the unique natural heritage of the area, witness some of the conservation work that NLP has done in the past and hear about our current Nevis Nature Network project, enabling nature restoration in Scotland's Rainforest. To return we descend to the road and either return along it or cross 'Paddies Bridge' to descend the riverside path back to the car park.
Length: The walk is about 3.3 kilometres / 2 miles in length
Difficulty: Medium - Hard. The first half of the walk has several rocky sections of path and also some wet / turfy ground. It is steep in one or two places. The second half is easier, either along a footpath or along the single-track road. Sturdy walking shoes / walking boots recommended.
Times: 1.30pm -4.30pm
Meet: 1.30pm, Lower Falls Car Park (by picnic tables)
