Join us for a #PollutionIsPants beach clean at East Sands, St Andrews on the 24th April for Fashion Revolution Week! Grab your household, book a space and, if you are feeling bold on the day, wear a pair of pants on your head.Why? Textiles are the biggest source for primary and secondary microplastic pollution, accounting for over 34% of total microplastic pollution. We want to show people that pollution really is PANTS! The event runs from 10.30 to 1pm so you can come for when and for as long as you'd like.This Skillshare is part of Fashion Revolution Week 2021 and the #PollutionIsPants campaign organised by <a href="https://www.bigdreamslittlefootprints.org/pollution-is-pants/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Big Dreams Little Footprints</a>, <a href="http://www.transitionsta.org/zerowaste/pollutionispants/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Transition St Andrews</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/sustainablestyle_sta/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sustainable Style St Andrews</a>. Together we are celebrating the beauty of secondhand fashion and the positive impact it has in keeping clothes on bodies, not in bins. Everyday in the UK, 3.5 tonnes of clothes are sent to landfill! So let's cherish our pre-loved clothes because they make a real difference!
