Porn: positive or problematic?

Stroud Brewery & TaproomStroud, England
Saturday 23 May  •  3 PM - 4 PM
Overview

You don't have to watch porn to be one of its victims

Jo Bartosch and Rob Jessel's book Pornocracy takes an unflinching look at the damage caused by porn, and what we can do about it.

Join us for a discussion with the authors which will include:

  • How pornography has rewired brains and normalised sexual violence
  • Why schoolchildren have more sexist attitudes than their parents and grandparents
  • How we fight back and reclaim sex, love and relationships
  • Questions from the audience

This is a mixed sex event and unsuitable for anyone under 18.

Signed copies of Pornocracy will be available for sale.

Attendees can send in questions up to 48 hours before the event by emailing gloswomen@gmail.com

GlosWomen is a mainly offline group for women who live in Gloucestershire and share a vision of a world where women and girls can live free from male violence and all manifestations of misogyny.

We aim to bring about change through activism and discussion, which is why we're organising this event.

A limited number of free tickets are available for attendees on a low income. If you would like one please email gloswomen@gmail.com
