PORTSMOUTH: Victory in 80 Objects Community Workshop - JANUARY

The Victory in 80 Objects project uses stories and images of key WWI objects to inspire creative and cultural activities in Portsmouth communities. Through workshops with the D-Day Story and Portsmouth Museum & Art Gallery, local groups will connect with history in imaginative ways.

Join Jane Glennie, for an engaging workshop celebrating the life of home front residents during WWII through stories and memories: you will be making lavender bags and felt dog with blanket stitches. Songs, costumes and original artefacts will add on to the experience.

This workshop is delivered as part of their community engagement project inspired by their recently published book "Victory in 80 Objects", delivering community outreach and using the stories and images of key objects that contributed to the Allies’ victory in WWI.
