A.F.C.A.S. – PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL – POSITIONAL SCOUTING &amp; RECRUITMENT WORKSHOP – MODULE 1 WORKSHOP: Online, fully interactive. WORKSHOP LENGTH: The workshop is 7+ hours long, including additional distance learning tasks. SESSION SCHEDULE: The workshop is spread over two evenings, consisting of three and a half hour sessions each. WORKSHOP SIZE: Limited to a maximum of 9 attendees. WHO IS THE WORKSHOP FOR?This two-day, seven-hour, fully interactive workshop is designed for both new and experienced football scouts aiming to enhance their skills and development.The workshop is also beneficial for football coaches and agents seeking to improve their scouting abilities and understanding of the recruitment process at professional football clubs. Learn the art of football scouting from an experienced professional football scout who has worked at the highest level.Acquire the knowledge of observing and assessing player performance with structure, and learn to compile and create scout reports to meet the expectations of professional football standards. Through the use of video footage, scouting tasks will be assigned during the workshop, allowing participants to practice scouting techniques and complete their own scout reports. The workshop will guide you through efficiently scouting players in three different positions during matches. Develop a better understanding of how professional clubs scout players and how recruitment systems operate at the highest levels of football. All attendees will receive a scouting pack, including software, to complete their own scouting reports following the workshop. As the workshop is fully interactive with a small group of attendees, you will have the opportunity to interact with the presenter and fellow attendees, providing excellent networking opportunities with like-minded individuals and professionals working in football clubs at all levels.

WORKSHOP CONTENT:The workshop content includes:• Learning how to prepare for scouting at a match.• Gaining scouting hints and tips to assist you during a match.• Acquiring observation techniques to efficiently scout players during matches.• Learn how to assess player performance in different playing positions - CENTRE-BACK, WIDE-PLAYER, and CENTRE-MIDFIELDER.• Learning professional football scouting techniques and skills.• Understanding the different phases of player possession and how to scout players in these areas.• Participating in numerous video scouting tasks.• Engaging in group tasks and discussions.• Learning how to write and create your own scouting reports.• Understanding different types of scout reporting and assignments.• Learning how to assess and grade player performance with a structured approach.• Building scouting templates to scout players in different positions.• Assessing player performance in different playing positions.• Exploring additional aspects of player performance, including awareness and communication.• Producing different types of scouting reports.• Understanding the operation of recruitment departments at the highest level.• Use video footage to practice creating scout reports during the workshop.• Homework tasks will be assigned to provide further opportunities for you to apply your newly acquired skills and receive feedback during the workshop.
