Post-16 Open Evening

On Monday 31st January from 5-7pm Lincoln UTC will host a Post-16 Options Evening for year 11 students interested in applying for September.

The Lincoln UTC Sixth Form is graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and provides a specialist education for students wishing to pursue a future career in science, engineering, maths or technology. Achievement is consistently well above that made by other students nationally and year 13 leavers continue to be very successful in securing their desired place at university or in industry. During this event students and parents will have the opportunity to drop in to observe lessons in progress and talk to subject leaders and current sixth form students about the grade requirements, expectations, and specification of each subject. Additionally, each subject leader will be delivering a ten-minute course specific presentation on two separate occasions during the evening. The timetable for these presentations is included below and has been designed to allow students to explore multiple options and potential subject combinations. Visitors should feel free to attend as many, or as few, of the presentations as they wish. We understand that some students may prefer to visit each subject area for an individual conversation when the teacher isn’t presenting. 5.05 to 5.15:	Principal's overview / T Level Engineering 	5.20 to 5.30:	Biology / Maths / BTEC Engineering5.35 to 5.45:	Chemistry / Computer Science / Product Design5.50 to 6.00:	Physics / Business / English6.05 to 6.15:	Principal's overview / Maths / Computer Science 6.20 to 6.30:	T Level Engineering / Biology / English6.35 to 6.45:	BTEC Engineering / Chemistry / Business6.50 to 7.00:	Product Design / Physics	In September 2022 Lincoln UTC will become the only provider in Lincolnshire to offer a T Level in Engineering. This course will expand on current post-16 option choices, which include a range of STEM-based A Levels and a Level 3 BTEC in engineering.Alternatively, to book a personal tour during the week email admissions@lincolnutc.co.uk or call 01522 775990.
