Welcome to the LSE PhD Academy Eventbrite page.  We host a varied menu of events for LSE doctoral students which range from advanced methodology training and interdisciplinary workshops to professional development events and writing groups.Our programme changes throughout the year but advance details of what is on offer can always be found on the Event and Courses section of thePhD Academy webpages.  This has the complete list of our events, some will require you to use different booking systems for different events.  We are currently in the process of reviewing our booking systems and hope to make it more streamline in the future.The PhD Academy is based on the 4th floor of the Lionel Robbins building where we have a teaching room, common room and office space.  We look forward to meeting you and welcome your feedback, either in person or you can contact us by email at phdacademy@lse.ac.uk or by telephone on 020 7955 6607.

Clarity, coherence and consistency - the elusive must-haves for information posters A poster which is displayed at a research fair needs to do three things very quickly: connect with your audience, direct their attention and promote understanding and memory. In order to achieve this, the writing and presentation of the text, images, captions, diagrams, etc need to be carefully thought through. So as well as being authors, you need to be thinking like an editor and designer.  This workshop can help you take a step in this direction and asks that you bring your working prototype in for group criticism and development. • Ideally bring a low-cost full-size printout from a pdf (eg <A HREF="https://www.onlinerepro.co.uk/portfolio/plan-printing.php" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.onlinerepro.co.uk/portfolio/plan-printing.php</A>). 
 • Also your working prototype on your laptop for editing though be aware this is a communication workshop not software trouble-shooting.
