The Paxton Centre

Come and create with clay promoting positive well being.

Educational classes and travelling for one are exempt during the current lockdown rules and there has never been a more important time to take care of your mental health or learn a new skill. Come and immerse yourself with the most tactile and therapeutic nature of clay, promoting positive well being and promising an enjoyable creative experience on this 3 week course. You will be taught several hand building techniques and be free to choose from these to create your own unique ceramics to keep or give as gifts for your loved ones. We will spend 2 weeks working with the clay and the 3rd and final week will be spent painting your fired pieces using the wide range of glazes available. Suitable for beginners and those experienced with Pottery.You will be allocated your own clay and tools and have access to many resources. Bring your own apron if you have one otherwise a clean one will be supplied.The Paxton Centre is declared Covid Secure with safety measure in place including* Fresh air ventilation* Sanitizer stations at the entrance and throughout.* Socially distanced work tables* masks wearing and temperature taken on arrival to protect everyone&#x27;s health. Course Dates - Monday 16th, 23rd, 30th NovemberYou can secure your place with a £10 non returnable deposit with the remaining £80 due on week 1 payable by card or cash. Class places limited to 10 and The Centre is closed during the class to other customers. Hot or cold drinks can be purchased onsite by learners.
