Pottery wheel class for beginners

Learn the basics of wheel throwing in this fun, hands-on class! Perfect for beginners looking to create their own pottery masterpiece.

🌟 Always wanted to try pottery? Come and experience the joy of throwing clay on the wheel in our friendly Manchester studio!

In this fun and relaxed 2-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing and create your very own pottery pieces — from cups and bowls to vases and dishes.

✨ What’s included:

• Expert tuition in small groups (max 8 people)
• All materials, clay, and tools provided
• Glazing and firing of one piece of your choice (included in the price)
• Option to keep extra pieces for just £7.50 each (payable on the day by cash or card)

Your finished piece will take around 4–6 weeks to be dried, trimmed , glazed, fired, and ready for collection.

Good to know:

• 10% discount for returning students – get in touch for your code!
• Age policy: Teenagers (16–17) welcome with a participating adult. No under-16s permitted.
• Accessibility: Service and guide dogs are welcome.
• Suitability: Classes are not suitable for pregnant women or those with current wrist/back injuries.

Preparing for your class:

• Nails are better kept short for working with clay.
• Long hair should be tied back.
• Wear warm clothing that you don’t mind getting messy — pottery can be splashed with clay and water!
