Join us at our club apiary at Saltwell park for a hands-on practical experience in modern beekeeping.

This session caters for:

• Anyone curious about beekeeping, with or without prior experience
• Beginner beekeepers looking to build practical skills and grow in confidence
• Those seeking a unique and memorable gift experience

What’s included?

• A 3-hour hands-on experience inspecting honey bee colonies at our teaching apiary
• An introduction to modern hive components and how they function
• Practical guidance on handling and caring for honey bees safely and responsibly
• Insight into common beekeeping challenges and how to manage them
• All essential beekeeping equipment provided, including bee suits and gloves (participants should wear suitable trousers and sturdy footwear such as boots or wellies)
