Where is Waterperry?

The village of Waterperry is about 7 mins from the M40, East of Oxford and is easy to get to from London, M4, M40 etc. For example, it’s about an hour’s drive from St Albans. (SatNav: OX33 1LA or “Waterperry Gardens”)

How do I get there by car?

At the weekend, from the south or east, we would recommend using the M25/M40. Leave the motorway at J8 (A40) (or J8A if you miss this). In either case make your way towards Wheatley and follow the brown tourism signs for Waterperry Gardens.

From Waterperry, where is the House and Gardens?

Drive slowly (20mph) through the village of Waterperry, following the road round until it ends at Waterperry Gardens. Enter the main gate to Waterperry Gardens and turn immediately right (not ahead through the garden centre), passing through a small parking area. Turn sharp left toward the House...

Where do I park?

Drive up the narrow driveway towards the House itself. Please do not park at the front of the House, but drive on slowly past the front of the house until you reach a parking area on the right. Park where you can and come in through the front door of the house where we will meet in the Hall.

What about lunch?

Lunch will be prepared partly in advance and partly on the day by the participants ourselves. It will be a hot, vegetarian meal, with salad accompaniment. When you book, we ask for any special dietary requirements and will do our best to accommodate these.

Question 6

What should I wear?

Wear clothing you will be warm and comfortable in. We will be mostly indoors, but, weather permitting, there may be an option of working outside for some of the time. If you wish to do so, bring suitable clothing such as boots and coat. Gardening gloves may be helpful. Tools are provided.

Photography.

Accepted Answer

We may take photographs of the event, including groups of people in informal gatherings, activities, study sessions etc. These may be used on our website or in social media. Most people are happy with this but the order form allows you to choose not to be included in photographs if you wish.
