Practicing Your Pitch: Structuring Your Pitch Deck for Maximum Impact
Join us in this in-person event where we'll be looking at the power of pitch decks, with expert guidance to send your confidence sky high
What is it?
Our Practicing Your Pitch season is focused on supporting early startup founders as they get ready to present their ideas. Through a series of interactive online and in-person workshops, we'll be looking at different aspects of pitching and how a good pitch can change the journey of your startup.
This three hour session is being held in-person in CodeBase Edinburgh and will look at the basics of investing, and how an effective pitch deck can really help.
A pitch deck is the brief presentation which can showcase your idea to investors, colleagues or potential clients. It should include an overview of your business, what you have, what you can offer and what you need... and it can be very difficult to get right.
Join us for advice, activities and networking to help polish that pitch deck to perfection.
(Please note: unfortunately there will not be hybrid option for this event).
What should I prepare?
If you already have a pitch deck (no matter how rough a draft it is), please bring it along - we won't have a chance to look at everyone's but there will be time to show others and discuss during breaks and networking.
Please also come prepared to offer constructive feedback to other founders.
What can I expect?
A supportive space to practise your pitching skills and gain confidence in this area. As a group we’ll offer support, encouragement and give constructive feedback to help you improve in this key area.
You will gain:
- Insight into the investor process
 - A chance to think about how to present your business idea through a deck effectively
 - Interactive activities to help develop ideas

This event will take place in CodeBase Edinburgh, 37a Castle Terrace.
