NEW - WE HAVE DECIDED TO CHARGE £5 FOR ADULTS (OVER 16 YEARS OLD ) FOR PRAYERS, PLOTS & POISON IN 2026. THIS MODEST CHARGE IS TO OFFSET THE COST OF FEES THAT WE PAY TO OUR PERFORMERS.

A walk about the life of George Abbot, a Guildford boy who rose to national prominence at the Court of King James 1, becoming Archbishop of Canterbury. He is most remembered in Guildford for Abbot's Hospital, the magnificent almshouse which he founded - still fulfilling its original purpose 400 years later.

Less well known is the significant role that he played during a turbulent period in English history. Join us to hear about the highlights and disappointments of his life and times.

Cancellation: If you will not be able to come on a walk, please cancel your booking. This can be done from the email confirming your booking (click on ‘Modify reservation’) or by clicking on the ticket on your Eventbrite page (select ‘Cancel Order’)
