Preparing for Exam, Audition and Performance

Join us at bbodance for a special event focused on helping you excel in exams, auditions, and performances. This event is designed to give you the tools and techniques, both physical and mental, giving you the confidence you need to succeed. Our experienced workshop presenters will provide you with valuable tips, techniques, and insights to help you prepare effectively and perform at your best. Don't miss this opportunity to sharpen your skills and boost your audition and performance abilities. This workshop is open to all ballet students over the age of 14 who have passed Intermediate exams. It will also be very useful for post graduates wanting to improve their audition chances.

This unique three-hour workshop in partnership with bbodance is led by:

  • Anita Young MBE, Artistic Director of bbodance, ex Royal Ballet Soloist, former Ballet Mistress to Northern Ballet Theatre, ex RBS teacher and now a renowned ballet coach — 90 min focused on audition and performance strategies with personalised feedback.
  • Terry Hyde, psychotherapist, ex Royal Ballet, London's Festival Ballet (ENB) Soloist, Founder of counsellingfordancers.com and Founder & CEO of the charity STEPPS — 90 min covering mindset preparedness for exam, audition and performance pressures.

Proceeds go to STEPPS (Support-Training-Education-Psychotherapy-Performance -Solutions), the charity supporting dancers’ mental health with counselling, Mental Wellbeing Workshops and affordable Mental Health First Aid Training.

The venue has been kindly donated by bbodance.

Don't miss this opportunity to sharpen your skills and boost your performance abilities. See you there!
