Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC)is the County Voluntary Council (CVC) for Cardiff – the umbrella infrastructure organisation for the third sector in the City.C3SC’s key role is to provide specialist advice, support, and information to local third sector organisations on issues that affect them, including funding and governance.C3SC is the voice of the third sector in Cardiff. It facilitates third sector representation on strategic partnerships, including the Cardiff Partnership Board and its Programme Boards and Workstreams. Our priority is supporting volunteering, ensuring good quality, inclusive and accessible opportunities can be entered into by increasing numbers of people from diverse backgrounds. Follow us @CdfVolCentre on all major social media platforms.

The training will help you improve your knowledge on welcoming volunteers to your organisation. It would be suitable for volunteer managers, coordinators, supervisors, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course, you will: <ul><li>Be able to develop a volunteering policy​</li><li>Have considered what other policies might be necessary ​</li><li>Understand key legal issues relating to volunteers​</li><li>Be able to develop volunteer ‘role descriptions’​</li><li>Know how to assess and manage risk associated with a volunteer role</li></ul>Date: Thursday 14th September 2023Time: 2 pm – 4:30 pmThe training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre. Online participants will join the training via Microsoft Teams.
