This course is specifically for all Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL’s) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL’s) onlyObjectives•	Understand the aims of Prevent.•	Be aware of the main threat and risks impacting young people locally and nationally. •	Think about who may be vulnerable to radicalisation and violent extremism and in need of your help•	See why some people can influence and manipulate others to commit crimes.•	How to manage conversations with parents/carers•	How to manage ongoing cases or concerns where they are adopted or signposted back to the education setting for management •	Where to go for further information on substantiating different concerns (e.g whether a phrase, symbol type of online activity is a concern or not).
