Prevent Roundtable Event

London Borough of Camden

Purpose of Event:
This Roundtable presents an opportunity for people to engage with the London Borough of Camden on local Prevent delivery. We want to create a safe space for open debate and dialogue and an opportunity to feedback to the current strategy. This event will be chaired by the Cabinet Member for Young People and Cohesion, Councillor Abdul Hai and will be supported by the Home Office, safeguarding leads in various relevant departments and the police. 
 
Context:
The threat of extremism and terrorism is ever changing, with the issue on the public agenda following the attacks in Westminster, Manchester, London Bridge and Finsbury Park. Prevent works to deter vulnerable people from becoming radicalised and drawn into terrorism.
