Join Mastery Specialist Teachers to take part in collaborative lesson reflection and planning

There are two termly opportunities to join Mastery Specialist Teachers to take part in collaborative lesson reflection and planning. Once registered you will be able to access the online video for ten days after each session.Spring Term 2022Tuesday 1st February 2022, 4pm - 5pmSession 1 – An introduction to Mastery in Fractions. This session will support the development of your understanding in the 5 big ideas of Teaching for Mastery with a focus on how these can be applied to the teaching to of Fractions. Fractions is one of the most abstract and difficult areas of the Primary Curriculum and this session will enhance your pedagogy and take you on a journey from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6. The session will run from 4pm – 5pm and then I will remain available after the session to answer any questions or offer further advice.Tuesday 22nd February 2022. 4pm - 5pmSession 2 – A lesson study in teaching Fractions. This session will offer an opportunity to watch and dissect a recorded Fractions lesson. It is an opportunity to identify the carefully crafted small steps within the lesson and how the 5 big ideas of Teaching for Mastery are used in a lesson. The session will run from 4pm – 5pm and then I will remain available after the session to answer any questions or offer further advice.
