In this free CPD session for primary teachers, geologists from the British Geological Survey will guide you through all you need to know to teach rocks, fossils and soils to your KS2 classes.

Based in the Angela Marmont Centre For UK Nature in the Natural History Museum, the day will focus on expanding your own knowledge of the subject matter, to enable you to develop lesson plans that work for your class. To do this we will look at incredible rock, fossil and mineral samples, explore the topics in depth, share resources to help you plan your lessons, and try out some fun demos with instructions to recreate in the classroom.

Lunch is included so please specify any dietary requirements when booking. A detailed schedule will be shared a week before the class, but please do contact bgsengage@bgs.ac.uk with any questions in the meantime.
