These sessions are for schools to view within classrooms with cohorts of students.

<p>Register your interest to be sent the joining link for a webinar that you can show in your classroom to students. Each webinar is aimed at a different year group and relates to the primary curriculum. </p><p>Three STEM Ambassadors who work in related fields will cover these questions and talk about how these topics are useful for their jobs. </p><p></p><h2>Webinars in the series:</h2><h3>Year 3 – Rocks and Fossils: </h3><p>9.30am to 10.15 on Tuesday 25th January</p><ul><p><strong>Content covered: </strong></p><ol><li>What types of different rocks are there? </li><li>What is soil made of? </li><li>How are fossils formed?</li></ol></ul><h3></h3><h3>Year 4 - Animals including Humans:  </h3><p>9.30am to 10.15 on Thursday 27th January</p><ul><p><strong>Content covered: </strong></p><ol><li>How are animal’s teeth different to each other depending on what they eat?</li><li>What parts are in the digestive system of a human and what do they do?</li><li>Why are human teeth different shapes?</li></ol></ul><h3></h3><h3>Year 5 – Earth and Space:  </h3><p>14.00 to 14.45 on Friday 4th February</p><ul><p><strong>Content covered: </strong></p><ol><li>How do the planets move relative to the sun?</li><li>How do we get night and day? Why do shadows change during the day?</li><li>Why does the moon look different during the month?</li></ol></ul><h3></h3><h3>Year 6 - Living Things and their habitats</h3><p>14.00 to 14.45 on Tuesday 8th February </p><ul><p><strong>Content covered: </strong></p></ul><ul><ol><li>What kinds of animals are vertebrates? What makes them different to invertebrates? Are there sub groups within vertebrates?</li><li>What kinds of animals are invertebrates? What makes them different to vertebrates? Are there subgroups within invertebrates?</li><li>How are plants grouped? What are their common characteristics?</li></ol></ul><p></p><p>After the STEM Ambassadors have presented, the classes participating can put questions to them for the remaining 15 minutes.  These will be submitted via the webinar chat function and the host will then pick a selection to ask the participating Ambassadors.</p><p>This session will be run over Teams. There will be multiple schools on the call so cameras and mics will be disabled for all classes. </p><p>All attendees will receive a one page overview of the Ambassador’s presentations after the webinar to help with recapping. </p><p><em><strong>Links to sign in to the webinars will be emailed to you 24 hours before each individual webinar and you can sign in up to five minutes before the start of the webinar to ensure your connection is working.</strong></em></p><p><strong>If you have any queries please contact the London STEM Ambassador Hub at: London-Hub@stem.org.uk</strong></p>
