<p>Primate are proud to present a Masterclass on fronted web techniques. </p><p>This <strong>one-day training course</strong> will expand your knowledge of web development and teach you <strong>advanced HTML and CSS, minimising reliance on JavaScript</strong>. Learn how to create more scalable sites, easier to maintain  architectures, and more streamlined frontend code.</p><p>Aimed at developers with an existing knowledge of web development, this class will enhance your capabilities, improve your skillset, and teach you how to be a <strong>better, more considered and efficient frontend developer</strong>. You will walk away with the practical know-how to help you succeed at your job and build sites in a more efficient and scalable manner.</p><p>Hosted in our office in the heart of Edinburgh, you will learn from an award-winning digital agency and our experience creating cutting edge websites for real-life clients in a variety of sectors with often demanding timescales and budgets.</p><h2>What you will learn</h2><p>This is a full one day training course in which we will cover:</p><ul><li>The why and how of CSS pre-processing and post-processing</li><li>The practical application of advanced CSS selectors</li><li>Methods for maximising web performance by minimising JS and pushing CSS to its limits</li><li>Getting the best outcomes of your mobile-first build by utilising modern CSS layout methods (flex and grid)</li><li>How to add the finishing touches and bringing websites to live without killing performance</li></ul><h2>What to expect on the day</h2><p><strong>Hands-on and practical: </strong>Our training is direct and hands-on, teaching you through interaction and real coding. You will write markup, syntax, and code throughout the day, building up knowledge and a repository of techniques to utilise when you leave.</p><p><strong>Real life examples: </strong>All our teaching material is based on real life examples, taken directly from our years of working with clients. We’ll show you proven techniques along with pitfalls to avoid, all learned from running a fast-paced agency.</p><p>You will also get the opportunity to tour our studio and interact with the team at Primate to better understand how we work on real projects.</p><p><em>Note: You will be required to bring your own laptop to work from.</em></p><h2>Your trainer</h2><p>Bart Oleszczyk co-founded Primate in 2011 and has been working with web technologies for over 15 years. As Technical Director, he not only runs our development team but is also responsible for guiding the technical vision of Primate. He ensures we utilise the most relevant and cutting edge technologies and that our development principles are always streamlined and efficient.</p><p></p>

<h3> Cancellation policy</h3><p>The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings made:</p><ul><li>30 days or more before training – full refund (excl. the booking fee) or attend a future course date</li><li>15-29 days prior to training – 50% refund (excl. the booking fee)</li><li>7-14 days prior to training – 25% refund (excl. the booking fee)</li><li>6 days or less prior to training – no refund</li></ul><p>You are most welcome to send a substitute for the originally booked delegate at any time by notifying us of their details. Primate reserves the right to cancel all or parts of the course if an insufficient number of people register for the course (tickets will be refunded in full).</p>
