Overview

A creative outdoor art workshop for families to learn a range of accessible printing techniques, and explore natural textures and forms

Through a range of different art techniques and materials, participants will have the opportunity to engage playfully and creatively with the churchyard and the nature that lives and grows there, and make their own greetings cards to take home.

Children and their families can try out:

  • Monoprinting techniques to explore silhouettes & layered natural forms eg. Jelly printing using leaves and natural objects
  • Clay sculpture: Air dry and found items to build marks, pattern & form
  • Cyanotype: Light-pictures using natural items found in the churchyard.
  • Being Texture Explorers, eg. Rubbings and Playdough texture printing to make your own stamps using items and surfaces found in the churchyard.

Please note there is a pond in the garden and all children must be supervised during this activity.

Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting messy, and as this is an outdoor session, please bring suitable clothing for the weather on the day.

Please purchase one ticket per child attending.
