Printing for Functional Applications Summer School

The event hosted by the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (WCPC) in association with icmPrint Ltd. WCPC is a world renowned research centre dedicated to advancing the understanding and productivity of all aspects of printing and coating. WCPC enhances the understanding of the printing and coating processes, exploits novel manufacturing using printing and applies its scientific findings to the benefit of its global industrial partners. With extensive experience in packaging and graphics printing the WCPC has built on this knowledge and become a centre for functional materials, plastic electronics and bio printing.

This course delivers an introduction to printing electronics, sensors and functional materials. The summer school takes place at the magnificent 65 acre Bay Campus and is located right on the beach on the eastern approach to Swansea City and is the home to the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating based within the College of Engineering. The summer school is organised by Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (WCPC) in association with icmPrint Limited, using its comprehensively equipped laboratories.                                                                                
The course covers: -

<LI>All major printing processes (flexo, screen, gravure, pad, offset and inkjet)</LI>
<LI>Inks</LI>
<LI>Substrates</LI>
<LI>Curing technology</LI>
<LI>Characterisation technologies</LI>
<LI>Practical sessions</LI>

On Tuesday 9th July in the evening there will be a welcome event to enable you to meet and network with other participants of the summer school.

 The participation cost of the summer school is:
Associates and additional associate delegates - £400 + VAT per person
Non Associates - £600 + VAT
Academic rate - £400 + VAT
 Note: Refreshments and lunch are included in the summer school fee.
Booking of accommodation is the responsibility of the attendee.
