The Society of Writers to Her Majesty’s Signet (known as the WS Society) (Scottish charity SC050987) is the incorporated body of Scottish lawyers known as Writers to the Signet or “WS” with over 500 years of heritage. We are one of the oldest incorporated bodies in Scotland for public benefit.

The WS Society and STEP Scotland’s joint conference for private client lawyers and advisers returns on 3 October. This year’s programme has an estate planning theme, with a range expert of speakers covering legal, practical and tax planning matters to update professionals advising individuals on asset protection and intergenerational wealth transfer. This year’s visiting speaker is Oliver Marre of 5 Stone Buildings, a rising star at the English bar in tax matters.
