Helping a Charity Define Their Requirements

Helping a Charity Define Their Requirements

The WCIT Pro Bono Panel is pleased to invite members and/or friends with an interest in Pro Bono volunteering to attend its first Pro Bono Exchange meeting on Wednesday 11 February at 6.30pm.

This free session will feature the Operations Manager of REACH Inclusive Arts, who will be joined by WCIT volunteer Liz Thrussell, to share how the charity identified a gap in skills needed to support a planned IT enhancement. The discussion will explore how the charity approached WCIT for pro bono assistance, and how Liz supported them to clarify and document their requirements, enabling the charity to procure an appropriate solution commercially.

Why attend?

The meeting will highlight the particular challenges small charities face when seeking to enhance their IT capabilities and help members to:

  • Gain practical insight into how pro bono support helps charities move from ideas to clear, actionable requirements;
  • Hear directly from a charity about the real challenges of delivering IT change with limited resources;
  • Learn how WCIT volunteers can add value beyond technical delivery; and
  • Meet fellow members interested in pro bono work, whether you’re already involved or just getting started.

Free attendance will be available in person (Gold Room) or online via Microsoft Teams.
