There are no expectations of being an artist. Sometimes it is difficult to express feelings with words. Image work can be a non-verbal approach to understanding the self.

<h3>In this experiential workshop participants will explore the value of using creative art materials to explore and process loss, whatever loss may mean to you.</h3><p></p><p>The  process of creating your image, using paint, crayons, glitter, pencils, pastels – whatever you feel drawn to – is a therapeutic and mindful way to express yourself.</p>

<p>There are no expectations of being an artist to come along to this virtual workshop. Sometimes it is difficult to express feelings with words. Image work can be a non-verbal approach to understanding the self, our thoughts and feelings that may be affecting our behaviours. </p><p>The session will be hosted via Zoom and we will make use of breakout rooms for small group work. </p><p>A CPD certificate of attendance will be provided.</p><p>Please bring along:</p><ul><li>A selection of creative materials: Paper | Pencils | Paints | Pastels | Pens</li></ul>

<h3>Physical and Mental Health:</h3><p>During the workshop you will be invited to engage in sitting, meditation and creative work with art materials. The work may enable emotional engagement and healing. </p><p>You will never be asked to do or share anything that you are not comfortable with, all participation is voluntary and confidential. <h3>About Me</h3><p>I am a qualified creative counsellor and member of the  <a href="https://www.apcca.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Association for Person Centred Creative Arts</a> (APPCA) and The British  Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Accred). I am also a Mental Health First Aider: <a href="https://www.alisontill.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">My Website</a>.</p><p>In addition to my private practice I also deliver creative therapeutic workshops and facilitate  APCCA's Introduction to Person Centred Creative Arts, Level 1 course.</p><p>Through my journey of both receiving counselling and training to be a counsellor, I found APCCA and uncovered my creative expression and also importantly, had fun using all the different art materials. </p><p>A liberating experience re-connecting with my creativity and also discovering that an image can connect to my feelings and life experiences.</p><p>The more I work with images, the more my passion of the process grows.</p>
