As part of World Mental Health day this workshop is aimed at Directors, Business Leaders and HR professionals whose priority is people in the workplace and who have a responsibility for their wellbeing.

The session will look at mental health and wellbeing, identifying how productivity and results can be improved by focusing on employee wellbeing.

We have an amazing line up of speakers and presenters tackling the subject from different angles. The day includes breakout sessions and plenty of time for questions and networking with other delegates.

All proceeds from the event will go to Albion In The Community, the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club improving the health and wellbeing, education and the aspirations of our community.




Speaker line up:

Anna Golawski from Stratus Coaching Ltd will be taking you through Mental Health awareness including how to support someone who may be struggling.

Yaron Engler from UpBeat Performance will share his story about overcoming over 15 years of depression and the tools that he now uses as a result to boost levels of trust, confidence and engagement in teams.

David Dand from Dand HR Associates will discuss how to attract, select and onboard talent prioritising cultural fit and the employee experience.

Nicole Humphreys from Acumen Business Law will be taking you through discrimination in the workplace with a focus on mental health and will discuss the legal obligations and compliance of employers and rights of employees.

Emma Mills-Sheffield from Mindsetup will be addressing how to help your teams become productive with a purpose. Her leadership coaching encourages using humility and vulnerability at the core of developing a high performing team, blended with her lived experience of resilience, growth, empathy and knowing that life is short.


At the end of the session, attendees will be able to:


  • Understand how to recruit for Cultural Fit

  • Understand how and when to use psychometric and skills tests to assist with recruitment

  • Understand the importance of mental health and wellbeing at work

  • Better support people who may be struggling at work with poor mental health

  • See how being open and honest with colleagues creates trust and a stronger working culture

  • Understand how to handle a situation in the most sympathetic and supportive manner

  • Identify sources of information and support, and how and what steps you should take when doing this.
