Event Details

Honorary Stroke Consultant at Salford Royal and Professor of Stroke Medicine at The University of Manchester, Prof Pippa Tyrrell was the first specialist stroke physician to be appointed in Manchester in 1995. She has worked tirelessly to develop stroke services in the region ever since and played a key part in transforming stroke services in Greater Manchester, enabling stroke patients to access the ‘gold standard’ of care within the vital first few hours after a stroke.

This lecture will be an opportunity to hear about how her work has helped to improve the treatment and care for stroke patients, and inspired the next generation of stroke specialists through her teaching and mentoring.

This event is free and open to all.
