Strathclyde Business School (SBS) was founded in 1948 and is a pioneering, internationally renowned academic organisation with a reputation for research excellence. One of four faculties forming the University of Strathclyde, SBS is a triple accredited business school (AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB) and was the first business school in Scotland to achieve this accolade in 2004. The Business School is home to seven subject departments and a number of specialist centres, all of which collaborate to provide a dynamic, fully-rounded and varied programme of specialist and cross-disciplinary courses.

The Department of Management Science at Strathclyde Business School is one of the leading Management Science/Operational Research departments in the UK, with a team of internationally recognised academics renowned for their academic output and applied work with business and governments. We invite you to join this interactive session with the academic team to find out more about the department and the programme. This session is ideal for those looking to join MSc Business Analysis &amp; Consulting this January or September 2022. Professor Alec Morton has degrees from the University of Manchester and the University of Strathclyde. Alec is head of the Management Science Department. Before joining Strathclyde he has worked for Singapore Airlines, the National University of Singapore, and the London School of Economics, has held visiting positions at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Aalto University in Helsinki, the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Hefei, and the National Audit Office and is a member of the International Decision Support Initiative. His main interests are in decision analysis and health economics. His research is funded by the European Commission, the Department of Health, the Medical Research Council and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and the Chief Scientist's Office of the Scottish NHS.Dr Bin Liu is a lecturer in the Department of Management Science. Before joining Strathclyde Business School he was worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in University of Waterloo, Canada. Bin gained a degree in automation from Zhejiang University, China and a PhD in industrial engineering from City University of Hong Kong . HIs research interests include risk analysis, reliability and maintenance modelling, decision making under uncertainty and data analysis.
