Our new series Progress to Process re-imagines the production processes behind the world’s most polluting industries, breaking down and challenging unethical production chains to explore new ways for makers, designers and companies alike to collaborate towards long-term sustainable change. 
 
Interwoven is a weekend festival which explores how textile innovation intersects with design and activism to create sustainable change within the fashion industry and beyond.
 
As we bring together climate change activists, designers and fashion brands across technology, science, textile and fashion, join us in reconsidering what you wear and how it was produced. 
 
How can we imagine new manifestos for the future of textiles, together?
 
In this exhibition, come and discover new perspectives around textile innovation at the crossroads of design, science, fashion and activism. Meet with material makers, climate activists, textile producers and fashion designers present throughout the weekend, to talk about their process and ideas for the future of fashion.
 
Including Makerversity-based fashion company <A HREF="https://www.thisisaday.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ADAY</A> and speculative designer <A HREF="http://www.tinagorjanc.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tina Gorjanc</A>, alongside innovative childrenswear company <A HREF="http://petitpli.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Petit Pli</A>, this exhibition is co-curated with textile producers <A HREF="https://www.bysshe.co/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bysshe Partnership</A> and<A HREF="https://doppelhaus.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Doppelhaus </A>with fashion designer <A HREF="http://elizacollin.com" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Eliza Collin</A>. It includes a selection of their collaboration with designers <A HREF="https://www.isabelfletcher.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Isabel Fletcher</A>, <A HREF="https://www.instagram.com/johannaparv_/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Johanna-Maria Parv </A>and <A HREF="http://www.curtisoland.com/about" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Curtis Oland</A> to create a locally and sustainably produced clothing collection.

The exhibition is free but donations are welcome. Any donation you make will help support future Makerversity public programme events. Our ticketed events support the running of the public programme.
