Event description
Join David Peck as he explains what critical materials are and how a transition to a circular economy will ensure a sustainable future

About this Event

What are 'critical materials'? It's an idea that has come about because supplies of some materials, especially metals, could become unstable, their prices volatile, and other factors such as conflict or pandemic could make obtaining them difficult. In turn, this may prevent them from being used in our products, buildings and infrastructure. These constraints may undermine the deployment of key technologies for sustainable development, such as batteries for electric power.

Join David Peck as he explains how a transition to a circular economy could be a promising approach to mitigate these issues. David will also explore how looking back in history has helped frame the complex challenges of critical materials and a circular economy.
