About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

This Promise Online Session on Thursday 15th May will share the learning story of the Care-experienced student ambassador programme by the Hub for Success team.

Join us for an engaging online session where we explore the power of storytelling in driving meaningful change. Through the learning story of the Care-experienced student ambassador programme by Niamh McCrossan, Jenny Edwards and Lorraine Moore (Hub for Success), participants will hear firsthand how reflecting on experience and sharing it effectively can shape outcomes, inspire others, and contribute to a deeper understanding of what works.

Following the story, you’ll take part in small breakout discussions to reflect on what you’ve heard, consider how it connects to your own practice, and explore why how we tell our stories matters. This session invites you to think about storytelling not just as communication—but as a vital part of learning, growing, and achieving impact.

This is a space to learn, connect, and reframe how we share what matters most.

What you’ll take away from this session:

  • Insight into the Promise group’s learning story and its real-world impact
  • A deeper understanding of why storytelling is central to meaningful change
  • Practical ways to apply storytelling approaches in your own context
  • Tools and techniques for capturing and sharing learning in a way that influences outcomes
  • Opportunities to reflect on your own work and uncover the stories that matter
  • Shared learning and inspiration from peers across sectors
