The UK's housing crisis continues to have a profound impact on families and children nationwide. As of December 2024, approximately 354,000 individuals in England were homeless, including 161,500 children—a 14% increase from the previous year. Furthermore, around 151,630 children are currently living in temporary accommodations, marking a 14.7% rise from the previous year.

1.5 million families are currently homeless in the UK and most reside in homes that fail to meet the Decent Homes Standard, with issues such as dampness and structural hazards. These conditions not only undermine children's health and well-being but also highlight the urgent need for comprehensive housing solutions to address the growing crisis affecting vulnerable families across the country.

Our aim is to help as much as possible in reducing these numbers by providing not just a roof over tenants heads but integrating them back into the community and away from isolation.

The purpose with property events are here to uncover as much knowledge and information about the social housing and supported living sector.

Each month we'll be inviting experts in their field, including care providers, registered providers, social housing investors and specialised supported housing developers, to share what’s really happening behind the scenes—what works, what doesn’t, and how to get involved in a way that’s ethical and sustainable.

Please join us so we can expand this community and look to improve this sector in the most efficient and ethical way while still making a profit.
