Rhea Frame, Senior Solicitor, CLAO

The Civil Legal Assistance Office "CLAO" is a network of four offices in Scotland that helps people with specific civil legal problems. The offices cover Edinburgh and Lothian, Highlands and Islands, Argyll and Bute, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Rhea Frame of CLAO Highland and Islands is a Senior solicitor in that team. Rhea began her career in private practice working for a long established Highland firm with whom she successfully completed her traineeship after which she join the team at CLAO. Whilst as CLAO Rhea quickly established herself as a respected family practitioner and began developing her interest in supporting clients who were victims of Domestic Abuse. Rhea is not only an accredited trauma informed solicitor, after receiving her certification in Trauma Informed law from the Law Society of Scotland, but has also completed the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre training on domestic abuse and is on their signposting list for Solicitors who have understanding and awareness of domestic abuse. Rhea is currently spearheading a project within CLAO to offer targeted and strategic help to victims of domestic abuse and clients from island or rural areas of the Highlands.
