Pruning Workshop with experts from David Austin (2pm Afternoon Session)

Join us for an opportunity to learn from the pruning masters of David Austin Roses, to keep healthy roses looking their finest.

Back by popular demand, join experts Andy and Liam from the renowned David Austin to learn all things pruning, along with planting, feeding and ongoing care, ensuring your roses thrive and flower throughout the summer ahead.

After a 45 minute presentation, we will break for a well earned slice of cake and cup of tea or coffee, all included within your ticket price. Once rejuvenated, it will be time to head out to the Rose Garden where Andy and Liam will be able to guide you through all that you have learnt in the earlier presentation through hands on pruning for those who would like work practically in our 40 foot Rose Arbour and Shrub Rose Garden.

We are very proud to house the largest collection of David Austin Roses outside of their own gardens in Shropshire. With over 150 roses to choose from, join us to truly immerse yourself and learn through an indoor presentation and and some hands on pruning in our Rose Garden.

Tickets & what to expect

Limited tickets are available at a price of £60 for both our morning and afternoon sessions, inclusive of your two hour workshop, tea and cake, and one £33.00 David Austin Rose of your choice from our 150 range of varieties on the day.

If you would like to take part in the practical second half of the session, please bring a pair of protective gardening gloves and your own secateurs. We of course have a great range available to purchase on the day, should you need a shiny and sharp new pair. We would also advise wrapping up extra warm, as we expect the weather may be rather chilly!

No former experience is required to attend our sessions, as these are aimed as an introductory approach to pruning, with the chance to ask any questions you may have.
